I am not a football fan, and I am not a Galati lover either. I complain a lot about this area in which I was born and raised, due to the simple fact that it has hardly ever been noticed as succeding in any field.
As most of the girls, I prefer staring at a wall rather than watching some boys running after a ball. So, trust me, I know nothing about football.
But today something happened. As I was coming back from the supermarket I saw many people smiling, singing and laughing, you know, being happy. People of all ages gathered to celebrate the Romanian champions, our local team, Otelul Galati for winning all the games between the Romanian football teams.
So I noticed that people were celebrating themselves, along with celebrating the local team. Those football players have fought to make us all happy for what we are, people from Galati. And this is why I ought to thank them.
